Changsha’s Night Tour Popularity Ranks 4th in China

The closing ceremony of “Lighten Up China’s Night Economic Map” (Changsha Stop) and the award ceremony of the 2019 Changsha Cultural Tourism Consumption Brands was held at the Meixi Lake International Cultural and Art Center on the evening of December 20.

During the event, Ctrip released its Big Data Report on Night Economy of Changsha’s Cultural Tourism. It announced that Changsha currently ranks fourth among popular destination cities for night tour across China, after Shanghai, Chongqing and Xiamen. According to the data of overnight visitors in Changsha, male tourists accounted for 61.92%; and most overnight travelers were between the age range of 20 to 39 years old, taking up 65%. This group of tourists is young and love to travel freely and consume in a diversified way.

The event was jointly sponsored by the Changsha Municipal Bureau of Culture and the Sina Website. During the closing ceremony, the award ceremony of the 2019 Cultural Tourism Brands was conducted and 40 excellent projects were commended, including Top 10 Cultural Tourism Consumption Demonstration Zone in Changsha.
