Zhangjiajie and Spokane, USA, are planning to become sister cities

On June 11, 2019, Zhang Jiajie, member of the Standing Committee of Zhangjiajie Municipal Committee and Secretary of Municipal Party Committee, met with American friend, Mike Hayes, and the two sides negotiated on the establishment of sister cities. Vice Mayor Ouyang Bin also attended this meeting.

Mr. Shan Zhufei expressed his gratitude to Mike Hayes and his early efforts to reach a preliminary cooperation intention for Zhangjiajie City and Spokane City to form sister cities. He entrusted Mike Hayes to convey the invitation to Spokane, and invited the Mayor of Spokane to come to participate in“The 2019 Annual Meeting of the Silk Road Friendship City Collaboration” and signed a letter of intent for the sister city.

Spokane is the second largest city in Washington State. It has rich natural resources and a long history and culture. It is hoped that the two sides will carry out various forms of exchanges as soon as possible, promote exchanges and cooperation between the two places, and achieve common prosperity and development.
