2018 China Red Tourism Cultural Festival to Kick off in Yueyang

At a press conference held by the Hunan Provincial People’s Government Information Office on July 3, it was announced that the 2018 China (Hunan) Red Tourism Cultural Festival will kick off in Pingjiang, Yueyang on July 22.

The Festival includes an opening ceremony and six supporting activities, namely,

10,000 Party members’ self-drive tour in Pingjiang to trace revolutionary footprint;

poverty alleviation program tour of 100 generals’ offspring;

China (Hunan) Red Tourism Cultural Commodity Creative Competition;

Red Education-themed Summer Camp;

Photography and expedition tour; and,

the launching ceremony of the Mufu Mountain Tourism Poverty Alleviation Alliance.

The Festival has been successfully held for 14 sessions. This year the Festival is co-sponsored by the Hunan Provincial Tourism Development Commission and the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Publicity Department, the Hunan Provincial Finance Department, the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Party History Research Center and the Yueyang Municipal People’s Government.

At the press conference, the First China (Hunan) Red Tourism Cultural Commodity Creative Competition was launched. A number of red tourism creative products featuring Hunan and Pingjiang culture will be collected. The products include posters, signs, packaging, and illustrations.

The deadline for collection is July 1, 2019.
