Changde Shimen Jiashan Temple or Linquan Monastery is located in the southeastern part,15km away from Shimen County, Hunan Province.It was built in AD 870 and renovated there times under the order of emperors of Emperor Yizong of Tang Dynasty, Emperor Shenzong of Song Dynasty and Kublai Khan. According to experts of Zen Tea Association of China, Jiashan is the authentic source of tea ceremony and Zen tea.

Changde Shimen Jiashan Temple had nine halls and one palace in its heyday. And owing to turmoil of wars, it has only six halls and one palace left after being repaired nowadays. It is said that at the late Ming and early Qing Dynasty, Li zicheng of Shun Dynasty had secluded in the Jiashan Temple for 30 years.
