Tips for Taking Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Intercity Rail

1.Introduction

Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Intercity Railway, Hunan's first intercity railway connecting Changsha, Zhuzhou, and Xiangtan cities, is 95.5 km long. This passenger dedicated line is designed for an average speed of 200 km/hour, but will run at 160 km/hour at initial phase. 24 stations were set along the line, among which 17 opened on Dec. 26th, 2016. Upon completion, the railway will make the commuting time among Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan into 30 minutes.

2.Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Intercity Railway Timetable

One train will be arranged to set off each hour every day during the initial operation stage. More will be scheduled next. The public transport operation mode will therefore be gradually realized.

3.Stops and Tickets

Passengers can buy tickets through multiple channels, such as station's ticket window, automatic ticket machine, and the mobile client or website of 12306.cn, official ticket selling site set up by the Ministry of Railways. Ticket selling started from 8:00 am on Dec.25,2016, as was announced by Guangzhou Railway (Group) Corporation on Dec.25.

A.Stops in Changsha City:

Xiangjiangxi, Lugu, Jianshan, Gushan, Bafangshan, Guanshaling, Kaifusi, Changsha Railway Station, Shumuling, Xiangzhang Road, Xiangfu Road, Dongjing, Xianfeng, Furongnan and Muyun.

B.Stops in Zhuzhou City:

Jiulangshan, Tianxindong, Yunlong, Zhuzhou Railway Station and Zhuzhounan Railway Station.

C.Stops in Xiangtan City:

Zhaoshan, Hetang, Bantang and Xiangtan Railway Station.
