Cosmos, usually called garden cosmos is home to Mexico. It is medium-sized with half-hardy specialty.Commonly, the garden cosmos is regarded as ornament in gardens under temperate climate. In Zhangjiajie, there are many garden cosmoses blossoming in autumn, especially in October.

Garden cosmos’s height varies from 0.61 to 1.2m.In autumn,Garden cosmos will appear in various colors,such as pink and purple as well as white.

According to scientific cultivation methods, garden cosmoses are planted in July or August. One month later, you are expected to pinching for several times, which enriches the blooms. Meanwhile, it is unwise to apply to much fertilization and water for garden cosmoses. Excessive amount of water will make garden cosmoses grow taller but easily flatten and fewer blooms.

When blossoming, bees are pleased to dancing among garden cosmoses, so do the hummingbirds.
